Fashion is not always
about something new.
Sometimes, it is about what remains.
For Fall/Winter 2026, Prada takes a different approach to the accelerating rhythm of fashion. Rather than pursuing a single defining trend, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons explore the personal relationship we develop with our clothes — how we wear them, transform them, combine them and carry them through everyday life.
Presented under the title Inside Prada, the collection examines identity, memory and the layers of meaning embedded in the garments we choose to keep.
INSIDE PRADA
A LIVING MEMORY
More than
one look.
Presented in Milan on February 26, 2026, at the Deposito of Fondazione Prada, the womenswear collection introduced an unusual approach to the runway format.
Fifteen models appeared across sixty exits, presenting four different, interconnected versions of the looks.

Instead of treating every runway appearance as a complete, isolated outfit, Prada explored how clothing can evolve.
A coat over a dress. Knitwear over tailoring. Sportswear alongside evening elegance. Layers were added, removed and reinterpreted, allowing each look to reveal a different identity.
The result is a wardrobe that does not exist as a fixed composition, but as an open space for personal choice.
“Clothing does not have— IDSC EDIT
one life. It can have many.”
The beauty
of what remains.
Layering becomes one of the collection’s central design principles. Yet these layers are not simply a practical response to the colder months.
They suggest personal histories, collective experiences and memories accumulated over time.

Tailoring, sportswear, embroidered satin dresses and contrasting materials meet in compositions that resist the traditional division between day and evening, formal and relaxed.
Faded tones, patinated surfaces, distressed effects and vintage-inspired embroidery create the impression of garments carrying their own history.

In some looks, archival dresses appear beneath minimalist pieces — hidden layers revealed only through closer observation.
Prada finds beauty not in perfection, but in traces of use, transformation and imperfection.
THE ARCHITECTURE
OF MEMORY
A space with history
For Prada, the setting of a show is never merely a backdrop. The Deposito at Fondazione Prada became an environment filled with objects carrying their own histories.
Centuries in dialogue
Sixteenth- and seventeenth-century tapestries and paintings, an eighteenth-century Venetian mirror and consoles, twentieth-century furniture, lamps and artworks formed a richly layered scenography.
Fashion as architecture
Different eras, cultures and aesthetics coexist in one space, just as contrasting fabrics, silhouettes and dressing codes meet within the collection.
A living environment
The architecture becomes a metaphor for clothing: both preserve traces of previous lives while allowing new interpretations to emerge.
THE ART
OF BEING
YOURSELF
ONE WARDROBE
A coat, a dress or a knitwear piece can become the starting point for countless new combinations.
MANY IDENTITIES
The collection rejects a single definition of femininity. One person can inhabit many different versions of herself.
PERSONAL CHOICE
Clothing becomes a tool for self-definition — not a rule dictating who we are, but a way to express how we change.
BEYOND THE TREND
Prada asks a simple question: why should new clothing lose its connection to the pieces we already own?
When clothing
becomes a
personal story.
The campaign continues the collection’s exploration of everyday life, intimacy and memory.

Released in July 2026, Simple Stories brings the Fall/Winter collection into a more personal and cinematic world.
Directed by Barry Jenkins, the campaign features Chen Haoyu, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Hunter Schafer and Troye Sivan.

Rather than presenting fashion as a distant spectacle, the campaign observes clothing through movement, gestures, atmosphere and ordinary moments.
Fashion becomes part of the story — changing its meaning according to the person, place and context in which it is worn.
From the runway
to the world.
Prada’s evolving vision extends beyond the collection itself. The brand continues to explore how fashion, architecture, art and retail can become part of one connected experience.

In September 2026, Prada introduced an expanded and renovated complex at Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II — the historic location where the brand began in 1913.
The project connects the menswear and womenswear spaces and includes Passaggio Segreto, Pradasphere, private shopping areas and Appartamento, conceived and curated by Miuccia Prada.

The modern boutique is no longer simply a place to purchase a product. It becomes a space for discovering the history, culture and visual language of the house.
THE FALL
EDIT
Tailoring
Structured pieces that can be softened through layering and unexpected combinations.
Knitwear
Textural layers that bring warmth, movement and a sense of everyday familiarity.
Evening pieces
Satin dresses and refined details reinterpreted through a more relaxed, contemporary wardrobe.
Accessories
Prada bags and footwear complete the collection’s dialogue between function, identity and personal style.
A wardrobe
with a
memory.
Prada Fall/Winter 2026 does not ask us to follow a single trend. It invites us to see fashion as a process.
A process of dressing, layering, transforming and interpreting clothing through our own experiences.
From the layers of garments to the layers of architecture, from memories embedded in materials to the intimate scenes of Simple Stories, Prada develops one consistent idea.
The most meaningful clothes are not necessarily those that reveal everything about us at first glance.
They are the ones that leave room for our story to continue.
WHEN FASHION
BECOMES A
LIVING MEMORY.
A new interpretation of contemporary dressing.
