Alexander McQueen To Open New Store Location In Beverly Hills

The Brand's First New U.S. Store Under Sean McGirr
Retail in Beverly Hills continues to grow and evolve, with more brands investing heavily in the area's luxury shopping landscape. One of the brands investing more into the area is Alexander McQueen, which is set to open a new store at 428 N Rodeo Drive soon. This upcoming location will replace the long-time Vera Wang boutique, which had been there for over a decade.
While the current Alexander McQueen store is just a short three-minute walk away on the same street, this new space offers a larger footprint and a fresh opportunity to reimagine the retail experience. As far as I can tell, this will be the first U.S. store opening for Alexander McQueen since Sean McGirr was appointed creative director in October 2023.
Owned by Kering, the Alexander McQueen brand currently operates 22 locations across the U.S., though several are outlet stores or shop-in-shops within Saks. Fourteen of them are standalone boutiques, and this new LA store appears to be the first that could fully reflect Sean McGirr's creative direction.
While there's no official word on the exact opening date, it will be interesting to see how the design and layout of this store are set apart from existing locations. The signage outside the new location simply reads "Coming Soon," but I'm hopeful that this new Los Angeles flagship will offer a more experiential take on the rich legacy of Alexander McQueen.
